Bill and Wendy moved to the country in 1986 without much more than a dream and a desire to build the perfect place for their children to grow up. Now, 30 years later, Southerland’s Ranch is a unique and inspiring country setting. Just north of the small town of Eagle, Idaho Southerland’s Ranch is a garden and landscape paradise. Birds and frogs find sanctuary in the secluded pond and tree-adorned property. Look close and you may find one of the thousands of pieces of hidden art meticulously collected from the surrounding foothills and carefully placed in Wendy’s dream gardens.
In 2011 we were chosen to be on the Botanical Garden tour. We were fortunate to have both of our daughters weddings held at our home, and since then have had the opportunity to have many of their friends as well as family weddings at our home as well. We had our first lavender harvest last summer for friends and family and are preparing for our second harvest this July. Our hobbies are our grandchildren, we have 6, gardening(of course), time spent at our cabin in Cascade, going somewhere warm in the winter, horseback riding, (which we used to do much more of, and plan to do more of again!), and family barbecues.
We are planning on several back packing trips this summer and spending Saturdays at the Boise Farmer's Market!
